Matthew graduated from the University of the Arts with an honours degree specialising in Sculpture. He soon combined his love of making and film by embarking on a career within the art department, starting as a model and prop maker, working on such projects as 'Tomb Raider' and Bond 19 ‘The World Is Not Enough’.
With an increasing interest in Art direction and production design, he studied drafting under Shaun Moore at Ealing studios. In 2004 Matthew designed his first feature and has been consistently in demand ever since. He has worked on multi genre productions, both in feature films and TV, from commercially successful films such as ‘Cockneys vs Zombies’ to the critically acclaimed ‘The Arbor’.
In 2014 he was nominated for the Royal Television Society ‘Best Production Design’ award and was also nominated in 2015 for a BAFTA as part of the production team on BBC’s ‘Our World War’.
Matthew has just finished working on 'Loving Vincent', with Oscar winning Director Hugh Welchman and Oscar winning Producer David Parfitt.
